We here behind the scenes of the XOPAD have been toiling away for countless hours perfecting our design. We are currently assembling our prototype, and since this is the first time anything like this has been done before it has been nothing short of tedious.
We have our custom circuit boards, all of our parts, the design is near flawless and the excitment is growing. The prototype for the XOPAD is taking shape and can now be physically held in our hands rather than just pieced together on a computer screen. It is no longer the figment of the imaginations of a group of engineers and friends. It is about to be YOUR coolest gadget for your Android phone!

XOPAD firmware is going to be open source!
To those of you reading this blog who, like myself a year ago, don’t know what that means:
“Open source is software or firmware whose source code is available for users to view, learn, alter and develop in a cooperative way, much of which is freely accessible in the public domain.”
What does that mean to you, our consumers?
When you purchase the XOPAD for Android, you will be able to use the product as-is, or if you are the creative tech-savvy type, you can alter the functions of the buttons, triggers, bumpers, sound, etc. to your preference (if the game developer doesn’t already allow for this). Not all games are created equal, why should your XOPAD be restricted to one type of gaming preference?
